New Video and quick chat

Hi again everyone, this week I made a video where we flip through my first travel sized sketchbook  which has work and doodles from 2010 thru 2015! Please enjoy and feel free to comment here on on the video if you liked it, want to see more, or have any ideas for me.

Now to the chat, so this week we went and saw the solar eclipse down in Williamson, SC. The event itself was spectacular and humbling for me, because it made me realize that we’re pretty small out here in the whole of space and the universe. Knowing that, and that we only have a little bit of time in that grand wide existence made me think of several projects that I want done. Today I’d like to tell you some of them and hopefully get you as excited as we are.

First off, I’d like to have a compendium of some of my sketches, featuring the best of my work through the years to show where and how I have improved over time. This is mostly for myself and for selfish reasons, but I would like to think that if I have copies made I can let others see and hopefully inspire others to start, or keep going with their own art.

Another project that my councilor suggested (which I’m a little miffed that I didn’t come up with the idea first!) was to take things that people don’t usually find beautiful, or pleasing to look at and turn them into something that is, like spiders for example.

I also know that I would like to have a body of work that shows off my character designing skills where I feature characters from my novel The Wars of Seven Princes, namely the Fell Royal Family, some knights, and the small court of the Liberi. With this one though I may also try to make it into a book or certainly an appendix/visual guide for people interested in my story.

Last but not least I am already planning on what I’ll be doing for Inktober, as it is rapidly approaching. This one will still be a secret, but I want you all to know that I’m still thinking ahead!

Well that pretty much wraps up this post, I hope everyone is doing ok and hanging in there, we’ll see you next week!!
